BPD looking for suspect vehicle in deadly hit-and-run

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department are asking for the public's help finding a suspect vehicle in a deadly hit-and-run from December 3, 2019.

The victim was a wheelchair-bound man crossing the street at Chester Avenue and 3rd Street, in an unmarked crosswalk, when he was hit and killed, according to police. The suspect fled southbound on Chester Avenue following the accident.

BPD said they are looking for a white, later 1990s or early 2000s Chevy Suburban or GMC Yukon with possible front end damage.
