BPD searching for suspect related to two car thefts

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for auto theft. The offense occurred on May 17 in the 4800 block of White Lane.

The suspect entered the business, grabbed the victim’s keys from the counter, and then fled in the victim’s vehicle.

On May 22, an additional vehicle was stolen from the 6000 block of Almendra Avenue.

Follow-up investigation revealed the same suspect was involved in both incidents.

The victim’s vehicle was recovered on May 23 in the 5100 block of Ming Avenue.

The suspect is described as a: White male, 20's, approximately 5'10”, 200lbs, wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and gray shoes
