Shooting near MLK Park in Bakersfield leaves one person wounded

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Tuesday afternoon at around 12:45 p.m. the Bakersfield Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Park.

According to Sgt. Nathan McCauley of the BPD, when officers arrived on the scene, they found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

No additional details were available. The investigation is ongoing.
