BPD looking for two suspects accused of stealing purse, credit card fraud

BAKERSFIELD. CALIF. — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community's help in identifying two women accused of stealing a purse and then using the victim's credit card to make purchases. According to the BPD, the incident happened in the 5100 block of Gosford Rd in Bakersfield on Christmas Eve.

The suspects were caught on video surveillance entering a business and stealing a woman's purse. A short time later, the same women were seen using the victim's credit card to make purchases at a store at 2701 Ming Avenue.

The first suspect is described as a black woman in her 50's with a medium build and black hair. She was wearing a green and yellow dress with a black sweater.

The second suspect was a black teenager with a thin build and shoulder-length brown hair. She was wearing a zippered red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
