CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. — The California City Police Department is investigating the death of a woman found in the desert.

According to the department, officers were dispatched to the area around the city's cemetery where they found a deceased 57-year-old woman.

The cause of death is unknown at this time and her name is being withheld pending notification of family.
