DELANO, Calif. — Deputies arrested two people on April 18 for gun charges in Delano following a shots fired report.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of Wildwood Road and Sherwood Ave. for a report of shots fired just before 7:45 p.m.

Sheriff's deputies came into contact with 23-year-old Frank Granados and 22-year-old Jose Espinoza, after their vehicle was seen fleeing the area.

After further investigation, KCSO obtained a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun, that was reported stolen, and a 410 Snake Charmer shotgun with a sawed off stock and barrel. Deputies found the serial numbers to the sawed off shotgun had been removed.

Granados and Espinoza were arrested for various charges including illegal discharge of a firearm and possessing a stolen firearm.
