Fresno man charged after using orange grove to hide marijuana plants

A federal grand jury charged an Orange Cove man with illegally raising marijuana plants.

According to court documents, 61-year-old Diego Garcia Lua used his orange grove to hide the presence of over 6,300 marijuana plants. He was charged with "cultivating marijuana and maintaining a drug-involved premises."

If convicted, Lua faces life in prison and over $10 million in fines.
