BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — UPDATE: The man later died in the hospital from his injuries.
The suspected driver is still outstanding. The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for a White Dodge SUV, possible the Journey model, with front end damage.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, just before 10 p.m. a hit and run was reported in the 100 block of Brundage Lane, near Union.
A man was hit by a car in the westbound lane, major injuries have been sustained.
The man was transported to Kern Medical.
There is currently no suspect in custody.
