DELANO, Calif. (KERO) — An inmate killed Dec. 17 at Kern Valley State Prison has been identified.

Abraham A. Morales, 37, of Bakersfield, was assaulted by another inmate and taken to the prison's Treatment and Triage Area where he later died, according to Kern County Sheriff's Office.

The incident is being investigated by Kern Valley State Prison.
