BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office confirmed at least one person is dead after a stabbing near a smoke shop on Roberts Lane and Belmont Avenue in Oildale.

Deputies responded to the area around 3 p.m. Traffic was diverted as officials started their investigation.

There is no suspect information at this time.
