KCSO deputies arrest 3 suspects in Wasco for attempted murder

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On May 21, at approximately 7:27 p.m., Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the Wasco Substation contacted two victims of a shooting at the Wasco substation.

Deputies and Hall Ambulance personnel rendered medical aid to both victims.

One victim was flown by air ambulance to a Bakersfield area Hospital for treatment and is now in stable condition.

The second victim had minor injuries.

Deputies determined the victims were shot during the commission of a robbery at Westside Park in Wasco.

During the course of the investigation, deputies developed probable cause to arrest 18-year-old Dallas Durfee Jr. and two male juveniles.

Arrest warrants were obtained for all three suspects, during the execution of a search warrant, Durfee Jr. was found to be in possession of a firearm and was arrested.

The juvenile suspects were later taken into custody at separate residences in the city of Wasco.

All three suspects in this case were booked into custody and charged with attempted murder, robbery and conspiracy.
