WASCO, Calif. — One May 4, Kern County Sheriff's Office deputies in Wasco served a search warrant at approximately 1:40 p.m. in the 700 block of Maple Avenue in Wasco during an identity theft investigation.
While investigating, deputies learned that 30-year-old Alejandro Ruiz was the suspect in this case.
After this discovery, a felony arrest warrant was issued for Ruiz. Ruiz also had an additional active felony warrant for grand theft.
While the warrant was being served, Ruiz was located inside the residence along with 27-year-old Brianda Uriarte, who had two unrelated outstanding arrest warrants. Uriarte was cited and released at the scene.
Ruiz was arrested and booked into the Kern County jail for his active warrants for identity theft, grand theft, and looting.
