BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Thursday, around 12:15 p.m., Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the desert area near Jacks Ranch Road and West Ridgecrest Boulevard regarding a report of skeletal remains being located.
Detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
Further investigation is pending confirmation by the Kern County Coroner's Office that the remains are human.
