UPDATE: The Kern County Sheriff's Office has identified one of the two people that were shot and killed on Niles Street on November 18th. According to the KCSO, 17-year old Makhi Bowen died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Two people are dead after a shooting off Niles Street and Fairfax Road.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's office, the shooting was reported at 5:51 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found two victims, one was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was taken to the hospital but later died before arrival.

There is no suspect information to release.

KCSO said: "numerous witnesses reported seeing a male subject shooting multiple times into the victim’s vehicle before reoccupying the suspect vehicle and fleeing the area."
