MOJAVE, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office said the suspect in a Mojave hit-and-run intentionally ran the victim over, causing major injuries.

KCSO said the victim remains in critical condition.

Officials said on Jan. 16, around 12:30 p.m. 44-year-old Angel Palacio of Lancaster hit the victim with his car on K Street and Shasta Street in Mojave. Palacia then fled the scene.

KCSO said their investigation shows Palacio ran the victim over on purpose.
