BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — The Kern County Chapter of the American Red Cross is asking for your help to locate their event trailer that was stolen from their offices either Monday night or Tuesday morning.

The trailer has a large red cross on it. The organization tells 23ABC that there was about $1,300 or $1,400 worth of supplies inside.

"It's shocking to be honest. We're here to help the community and we're here to quickly respond in event of a disaster and it's shocking especially during the holidays," said Eddie Zamora, from the American Red Cross.

Red Cross says they are still able to respond in the event of a disaster, although they'd need to reach out to nearby chapters for help.

If you see the trailer, you're being asked to call the Kern County Sheriff's Department at 661-861-3110.

Cindy Huge with the Red Cross posted on Facebook about the theft.

She says that the trailer held the organization's cots and blankets that were used during disasters.
