UPDATE: Coroner identifies man shot and killed in Rosamond Monday

(UPDATE 10/20) The Kern County Coroner identified 25-year-old Lavel Lawrence Myers as the man shot and killed in Rosamond Monday.


The Kern County Sheriff's Office has arrested a person following a deadly shooting Monday morning in Lamont.

According to KCSO, deputies were called to the 2400 block of Grandview Terrace near Skyline Lane in Rosamond for reports of a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they found a man with major injuries. Life-saving measures were performed, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Suspect information was developed by the deputies on-scene and quickly they located and detained Raffi Danielian in the area.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene and assumed the investigation.

Following the initial investigation, Danielian was arrested for murder. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call KCSO at 861-3110.
