The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that took place in Wasco Monday morning.

According to the KSCO, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Rose St and Griffith Avenue in Wasco at around 7:45 a.m. Monday morning where they discovered a Hispanic man victim in the road.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Due to the condition of the victim, homicide detectives were called to investigate. There is no suspect information at this time.
