BAKERSFIELD, Calif (KERO) — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting in the 900 block of Cannon Avenue.

According to a spokesperson for the KCSO, the incident happened around 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

Three people were shot in the incident; two men and one woman. The woman and one of the men had moderate to major injuries, and the third man had relatively minor wounds, according to KCSO.

The victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, deputies discovered the shooting had occurred at the intersection of Cottonwood Road and Feliz Drive where numerous shell casings were found.

KCSO said the suspects are described as two Black men, wearing masks, and in a vehicle similar to a red Kia Soul. The motive of the shooting is unknown at this time and the investigation is ongoing, KCSO said.
