Kern County Sheriff's Office makes arrest in attempted homicide in Lake Isabella

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested a suspect in connection to an incident that took place at the Dollar General Store in Lake Isabella.

KCSO deputies were called to the Dollar General Store on Webb Avenue Monday evening at about 8:45 p.m. When they arrived an adult male who was suffering stab wounds to his face and back. He was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital where he was listed in critical, but stable condition. Deputies also found a female victim suffering minor injuries. She declined medical aid.

Over the course of the investigation, deputies identified the suspect as 23-year-old Darrin Tannehill. He was located in the 2100 block of Young Avenue in Lake Isabella and was arrested on attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon charges.
