Man arrested Wednesday in connection to a shooting that injured a 9-year-old boy in Bakersfield

Police say 43-year-old Evron Bryant became involved in an argument with another person in front of a home on Niles Street near Miller Street on November 11th. Police say the confrontation escalated and Bryant fired a gun at the person multiple times.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department says a man was arrested Wednesday in connection to a shooting that injured a 9-year-old boy.

Police say 43-year-old Evron Bryant became involved in an argument with another person in front of a home on Niles Street near Miller Street on November 11th. Police say the confrontation escalated and Bryant fired a gun at the person multiple times.

The shots missed the intended target but hit a home with kids inside. One of the rounds injured a 9-year-old boy.

Bryant was arrested today on Baker Street near Grace Street. He's been charged with multiple counts of attempted murder and felony child abuse.
