Man identified in deadly Southwest Bakersfield shooting Friday morning

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner's Office identified Carlos Giovany Susarrey, 26, as the victim of a deadly shooting in Southwest Bakersfield Friday morning.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, they responded at 2:10 a.m. to Pacino Court and Hartford Avenue in response to shots fired to find a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Homicide detectives responded and assumed the investigation.

A coroner's report released on April 20th determined Susarrey died from multiple gunshot wounds and that his death was a homicide.
