BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place Wednesday night after they were called to the scene by the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

According to the BPD, two people were shot in the area of Jastro Ave and Feliz Dr. in Southeast Bakersfield.

Roads have been closed around the area.
