The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for a person of interest in a stabbing that left a woman in critical condition.
According to the BPD, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of 19th Street for a stabbing that had occurred around 9 p.m. When they arrived they found a woman suffering from stab wounds. She was transported to the hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
Surveillance video shows the woman walking down the street, followed shortly after by a man wearing dark clothing, including a hood and gloves. The woman would later appear on video walking in the opposite direction suffering from stab wounds.
The man was last seen running in a northbound direction from the attack.
