BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting in East Bakersfield that left one person injured.

Deputies responded to Earl Avenue just before 11 p.m. Friday after calls for shots fired.

They located one victim at the scene, who was then transported to a local hospital.

The victim did not sustain life-threatening injuries, according to KCSO.
