MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KERO) — Six people have been arrested for their role in helping six inmates escape Merced County jail earlier this month.

Officials say those six were friends and family of the escaped inmates. Authorities also said that there are several others who may have been involved with the jailbreak.

So far three of the six escapees have been found.

Earlier this week the U.S. Marshal Service increased the reward for information leading to the arrests to $10,000 per inmate.
