On Thursday at 4:28 a.m., Stallion Springs Police received a call of a gunshot victim at a home on Capot Court.

When officers arrived, they came in contact with a 20-year old Tehachapi resident, who was suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the pelvic region, it appears to be an accident.

The victim was transported to Kern Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances of the incident are currently under investigation.
