BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department arrested and booked 21-year-old Alexander Horton for attempted homicide after he shot at a man he was arguing with.
The other man was not injured during the altercation.
BPD said the were called out Monday morning to reports of a shooting at the Tommy's Liquor store on South Chester Avenue in South Bakersfield.
According to BPD, Horton and another man were arguing in the parking lot of the Tommy's Liquor store when Horton entered his vehicle. Horton then began shooting at the victim while he drove out of the parking lot.
Police found and arrested Horton that afternoon in the area of East 11th Street and Union Avenue. Horton was booked on charges of attempted murder, assault with a firearm, possession of an unregistered firearm, and driving without a license.
He is due in court Wednesday at 3 p.m. for his arraignment.
