A suspect has been arrested in connection to a fatal stabbing that happened in Bakersfield. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, Rafael Salas was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder.

The stabbing took place in the 600 block of Water Street on Sunday night. The victim, an adult male, was transported to the hospital where they later died.

It is believed that the incident stemmed from a family dispute that escalated.
