WASCO, Calif. — The suspect involved in a shooting earlier this month has been arrested. The Kern County Sherriff's Office announced that Kelly Stafford has been arrested for attempted murder gang activity and conspiracy.

On June 8 KCSO responded to a shooting in the 400 block of N Griffith in Wasco and after an investigation detectives put an arrest warrant out for Stafford along with one juvenile. On Tuesday deputies found Stafford in 1700 block of the 46.

The juvenile involved in the shooting was also located and taken to juvenile hall.

The victim of the shooting is still in critical condition.
