BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Thursday, at about 10:19 a.m. a BPD officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in the 3600 block of Chester Ave.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Jesse Cortez, age 39, was found to be driving on a suspended license.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun, a shotgun and 19 pounds of processed and packaged marijuana.
Cortez was arrested for several firearms violations, unlawful possession of marijuana for sales and driving with a suspended license.
He was booked into the Kern County jail.
