BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — On Thursday, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a woman not breathing on Madison Street in Bakersfield.

When deputies arrived, they located a 23-year-old woman. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives responded to the scene and are conducting a suspicious death investigation.
