California Highway Patrol officials say that about 20-25 people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 247 in Lucerne Valley on Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred at around 3:20 p.m. and a dust storm is said to be the cause of it.
Our Los Angeles affiliate KABC reported that the highway was shut down for hours while officials investigated the crash.
CHP officials told KABCthat about 15 cars were involved in the crash.
CHP officials added the crash started when a white van was hit by a semi truck which caused a chain reaction as other drivers drove under low-visibility conditions.
