(KERO) — The United States Geological Survey reported a 4.3 magnitude earthquake Thursday morning hit near Trona, Calif., about 14 miles east of Ridgecrest.

The temblor was felt near the epicenter shortly before 2:30 a.m., said the USGS.

The depth of the quake was 3.1 kilometers.
