(KERO) — Medical marijuana can help older Americans lower their blood pressure. Researchers at a university in Israel studied participants age 60 and over.
Each person was monitored for 24 hours before using medical marijuana for three months and being given tests that measured body mass and blood pressure. The same tests were repeated at the end of three months.
Researchers said not only did medical marijuana lower blood pressure but it also relieved some participants of pain that is often associated with hypertension.
