BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Tulare County Public Health Department confirmed Wednesday it has nine people on voluntary quarantine.

Officials said the individuals traveled through China within a 14 day window of returning to the U.S.

Officials said they are following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the California Department of Public Health procedures to manage those individuals.

Public health said the nine people are on self-isolation with no symptoms.

"There are no reported or suspected cases of COVID-19 and the risk in Tulare County remains low," said Karen Elliott, the Director of Public Health with Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency.
