The 17-year-old shot and killed outside a Friday night football game at Independence High School has officially been identified as Levi Jermaine Carter Brown, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

Bakersfield Police have confirmed that a 15-year-old suspect in the shooting death of a 17-year-old has been arrested Saturday morning in the 7500 block of Stockdale Highway. No other arrests have been announced and no other suspects have been identified at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Bakersfield Police have confirmed the 17-year-old who was shot at Independence High School has died.

The suspect in the shooting is not in custody.
