BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — A 16-year-old teen drowned at Lake Ming Tuesday afternoon.
Details are scarce, but the Kern County Sheriff's office says it happened at around 4:50 pm.
The 16-year-old went under, and four to five others jumped in the lake to try and save him, but could not find him.
A search and rescue team found the teen at around 7 pm.
The case is under investigation, and the name of the victim has not yet been released.
