BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — More than 30 of the 48 Kern County school districts were looking to new educators Saturday heading into the 2019-20 school year.

The districts are looking for a range of educators from credentialed teachers to substitutes teachers, school nurses, psychologists and speech pathologists to special education teachers.

The hiring event was located at the Larry Reider Education Center at 2000 K Street in Downtown Bakersfield. Teachers were encouraged to pre-register before the event, but walk-up were welcomed.
