If you are a forklift operator looking for work or a general laborer interested in warehouse work, listen up: a local staffing agency is interviewing this week for over 40 warehouse positions in kern county.
Increased demand in warehouse operations is calling for more general laborers and forklift operators.
"Especially in warehousing there has been a large growth within our warehouses and were expected to fulfill the spots of a lot of forklift operators and a lot of it is the supply and demand that we have in today's economy that we have all these jobs available," said Erica Hernandez, staffing manager at Randstad USA.
Randstad USA is a staffing agency looking to fill over 40 warehouse positions across Kern County.
"Quite a bit of openings throughout Bakersfield and up to the Buttonwillow area and we are looking for about 40 forklift operators in between both areas and the pay rate for those would be between $14 to $16 an hour."
The company is also looking for general labor employees with a starting salary of $13 to $15 per hour and an opportunity for overtime pay.
"Let's say they don't have experience with the forklifts or reach lifts we are looking for laborers that are looking for work. Maybe it's their first-time job or they have experience in manufacturing and they want to move forward in that field we have opportunities for them," said Hernandez.
These positions are available for hire immediately and Randstad USA is asking all interested employers to apply based on their needs and qualifications.
"It comes down to our candidates and what our candidates are seeking whether it be shift availability or location, we can move forward with their start date."
Randstad USA is holding virtual and in-person interviews for these warehouse positions this week. If you are interested in submitting a resume or preparing your application with the company you can find that information on their website.
