A non-profit pro boxing event geared towards keeping kids active and off the street will take place this weekend. 

This weeks event features Miguel Contreras, who hasn't fought since he knocked out Philip Percy in a show at Rabobank Theatre in July of last year.

The BHS grad and current Bakersfield College student will square off against Mike Melikyan in the main event on Saturday night at Stramler Park.

The show will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Tickets are still available here and proceeds will go to Bakersfield PAL and Kern County Fight Club.
