Kern County Sheriff officials arrested a woman after another woman was found dead in Delano on Wednesday afternoon.
KCSO officials said that at around 4:23 PM, they were called to 10029 Casey Avenue in Delano to the report of a homicide.
When KCSO arrived to the scene, they found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives arrived on scene and conducted an investigation.
KCSO arrested 35-year-old Maria Mejorado for murder and booked her into the Central Receiving Facility.
The Coroner will release the victim’s name after her next of kin has been notified.
