13-year-old arrested for threatening to shoot people at a graduation

A 13-year-old was booked into Kern County Juvenile Hall on Friday, May 18th after making a threat to shoot at the Grimmway Academy graduation being held on May 19th. 

An after-school coordinator, who the verbal threat was made to, was contacted by Arvin Police around 5:54 p.m. Friday night.

Police responded to Haven Drive Middle School regarding the report of the threat made. 

Arvin Police then responded to the 13-year-old's home to conduct a search of the home by the parent and no weapons were found.
