BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A 16-year-old was arrested after deputies say the teen robbed a convenience store in Bakersfield early Thursday morning.
According to the Kern County Sheriff's office, the teen entered the 7-Eleven on River Boulevard at around 2 a.m. armed with a handgun. The suspect fled after stealing cash and cigarettes.
A Bakersfield police officer later stopped a vehicle related to the robbery and arrested the 16-year-old. The cash, cigarettes, and handgun were found in the vehicle.
