A 17-year-old boy from Fresno was arrested Sunday for allegedly murdering his great grandmother.
Fresno County Sheriff deputies responded to a home in Fresno for a disturbance Sunday around 7:40 p.m. after a caller reported a disturbance.
On arrival, deputies found 74-year-old Lupe Suarez with stab wounds. Suarez was unconscious. She was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The suspect left the home before deputies arrived but returned a short time later. He was detained without a problem.
The juvenile had lived there since November 2016 after moving from Las Vegas.
The name of the 17-year-old has not been released since he is a minor.
