The family found the snakes after hearing a buzzing sound outside their Ridgecrest home on Wednesday.
The homeowners saw a snake's head poking out of their children's playhouse, according to KABC.
When animal control arrived, a total of 18 baby rattlesnakes were found, KABC said. It took about an hour remove all of the snakes.
The couple said they're thankful their children weren't hurt, since they were near the playhouse just a few days ago, according to KABC.
