BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Collector Con is being held at the Rabobank Arena once again on August 11 and 12. You can expect to see vendors and artists selling comics, collectables and artwork.
Along with games and face painting, there will be raffles and drawings with proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley.
On Saturday there will be a live concert event from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. featuring Second 2 None, Stereo Citizen, Missing Autumn, Hate Drugs and Kaybab. Admission to the concert is free with a ticket to the Saturday convention.
Tickets cost 8 dollars for Saturday, August 11 and 4 dollars on Sunday, August 12. For a two day pass, tickets are 10 dollars. Any children eight years and younger get in to the event for free.
The first 200 paid guests will receive a prize at the door.
