BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The numbers are in for this year's Kern County Fair and according to fair officials the total number of attendees were 394,350 -- which is down from last year's attendance.
In 2018. fair officials reported over 416,000 people attended the fairgrounds.
The last day of the fair was on September 29 following a 12-day run. This year's fair featured entertainment, livestock animals, cultural performances, thrilling grandstand events, and fair food.
Below is the "2019 Kern County Fair by the Numbers" that officials released:
- Total Attendance: 394,350
- Concessions Gross: up 6.13%
- Competitive Exhibits: 9,020 (up 2%)
- Livestock Exhibits: 6,162
- Junior Livestock Auction Gross: $2.7 Million
- Carnival Gross: up 3%
In a statement, CEO of the Kern County Fair, Michael Olcott said:
"We couldn't have ordered more perfect Fair weather if we tried. We are tremendously grateful for all those within the community who came out and continue to support and make this Fair their family tradition."
