The 21st Annual Scottish Games and Gathering are happening today at the Kern County Fairgrounds.
The event's biggest draw might be the heavy Scottish games, where athletes gather to compete in events like the Scottish hammer throw and the Caber toss.
The Games go until 5 PM today, general admission tickets can be purchased at the gate for $20. If you bring a non-perishable food item, you can get $2 off your ticket.
Seniors, military members and children all get discounted ticket prices.
There will be a Celtic music festival happening at the fairgrounds starting 6 PM as well; tickets for that event can be purchased as a bundle or individually at the gate.
