23ABC's morning anchor Alex Batres and photographer Noe Gonzalez traveled with Honor Flight Kern County in late October for the 30th trip to capture the stories of the brave veterans who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
Since the program was started five years ago in Kern County, over 1,000 veterans have been able to visit Washington, D.C. at no cost to them.
During the 30th trip, WWII, Korean, and Vietnam war veterans visited the memorials built in their honor.
